Insert a coin, crank the knob until a toy capsule drops. That feeling of anticipation when opening the capsule as you’ll never know what you’re going to get. A fond childhood memory, except that I didn’t even know it was called Gashapon back then.
Gashapon has a huge part in Japanese pop culture. So much so that there’s a dedicated store that houses nothing but these vending machines. The largest of these stores by far is located in Tokyo… The Travel Pockets
